Twelve n’ Twelve

In 1992, the Twelve n’ Twelve opened its doors.  The store had been a dream of its newly sober proprietor, Keate Weaver.

She hoped it would be a way to serve the community that saved her life and at the same time, a new focus in her life where she could channel her newfound energy. As a result, the support of her thousands of dedicated customers would help keep her sober throughout her journey.

And that miraculous journey has lasted now for over three decades.

One reason she named the store Twelve n’ Twelve is that she truly wanted it to be authentic and not just some “gift store” that sold recovery products. She is grounded in the twelve steps and twelve traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and strictly adheres to the twelfth tradition which states that “Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personality.” To that end, no matter how many “celebrity” customers she has, you will never see their photos displayed in her store or online. We hold anonymity as our sacred promise to you.

Keate received  all 5 star review from yelp.very generous.  She has earned a number of citations for her positive impact on the community from the mayor of the city of Los Angeles, the county of Los Angeles, the California State Senate, the California State Legislature and the Share Foundation. Keate has also been featured in several articles in the Los Angeles Times.

When you stepped into her store, it’s as though you’ve just come home. You get a feeling of quiet tranquility, a sensation of peace and security that immediately envelops you and hopefully as you browse this website, you’ll feel the same way. You’ll find an amazing variety of unique recovery gifts here; some that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Whether you’re buying for yourself or someone else, you’ll have no problem finding the right gift.

After 28  very successful years as a brick and mortar on Santa Monica Blvd, Twelve n’ Twelve continues to sell most of the products we had in the store on our website; Twelventwelve.com or 12n12.com and by appointment only at her home in Brentwood.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website.  We wish you many blessings and peace throughout YOUR journey, and thank you for letting us be a small part of that process.
